Domain Overview can provide tons of top-level insight into a competitor's domain in no time at all. With this info, you can quickly assess your competition’s strengths and weaknesses and then dive deeper into each area with the corresponding report on Semrush. Even more domain insights can be gathered with an option to check monthly or daily traffic and keyword trends.
You can also use the report to query a URL or subfolder or subdomain that you’re interested in analyzing. Just type in the URL and select on which level you want to gather data.
Data in Domain Overview is pulled from several Semrush tools:
- Organic Search traffic data from Organic Research, including insights on the website's top organic search competitors, keywords driving traffic, SERP feature rankings, non-branded key topics generating organic traffic, and more;
- Paid Search traffic data from Advertising Research, covering the closest paid search competitors, keywords they are bidding on, and live examples of ads from their campaigns;
- Backlink data from Backlink Analytics, offering insights into your and your competitors’ backlink profiles, including types of backlinks, referring domains, anchor texts, and more.
